The morning after the 2016 U.S. election, we at Deep Shred felt lost, disappointed, and without a clear next step forward. We have come up with an aptly-named action plan to help make the world a little more loving: SMOOCHES.
SMOOCHES is a two-volume cassette compilation we are putting together at the end of the year and we hope to feature artists from all over the world on it. All the proceeded from this cassette are going to go directly to the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, the Human Rights Campaign, and the National Immigration Law Center. Each contributing artist will be able to choose which charity they would like their share of the proceeds to go, that way, each band can be supporting the organization closest to them. It’s our hope that with the release of these cassettes we can help fund charities and nonprofits that can aid vulnerable populations while also giving people the strength they need through music.
